Driving to Vienna! Wow! We did enjoy our time on the autobahn most of the time but, this is what we had to drive through when there were construction sites to get down into Vienna. It was so scary, there may have been 12 inches on each side of the car. Thankfully, Clyde went much slower and is very good in confined spaces.

The cathedrals and castles were magnificent. We slept right next to this one! The treats were unusual but good. This was some kind of a ice cream, pudding dessert with loads of whip cream. Tasty!

Yes I did eat that meaty wiener thing!!!!

This cathedral and castle was in Germany in a town called Nuremberg. We spent a few hours there learning how it was constructed and even how the locks worked and yes, military strategy was taken into account.

All the castles we saw were on hills, and yes there was a valid reason for this: military and also so the subjects could always be aware of their King!
What a couple of wonderful countries to visit!!
